I found out about Someone Believes In You and thought it would be perfect for my teenager. It's been wonderful to have her tell me about the different stories she hears and how it is helping her. What I didn't anticipate is what they would do for me. Gradually I began to realize that it was not only my daughter who needed them. I needed them too! The letters have made me laugh & cry. They have challenged my beliefs and actions and they've made me really evaluate my life. Thank you so much!

Okay, I'll admit it. At first I thought this whole club was kinda cheesey. But, yes, I put my certificate where I could see it. I liked it being anonymous because I didn't have to thank anyone while I figured out what this was all about. Now I wish I knew who to thank. These emails have got me thinking about things I haven't thought about in a long time. I've been doing things I've only thought about before. Even my kids have said some things. I just smile and go read my next email. Oh, yeah, I

About Us

Who are the people behind Someone Believes In You? Simply people who have a passion to help every person live to their fullest potential - living their dreams instead of only wishing for them.

Someone Believes in You was created by Ginny Dye. She has spent more than 30 years working with people; 20+ years of it exclusively with teenagers.

Ginny Dye

More about me... "I love all people, but have a special place in my heart for teenagers - I adore them! The magical years of 12-19 are my favorite.

Ginny Dye

I am also an author, with 16 books published under a variety of pen names: 5 novels for teens, 4 historical novels for adults, and 7 non-fiction. I have a great appreciation for the power of the written word in affecting change. It has been a passion of mine for the last 14 years to collect stories and experiences that will empower people to live their dreams.

For the last 10 years I have worked as a Trainer and Motivator for men and women of all ages. I have created entire Training Programs - learning as I went how to help adults move beyond their fears and doubts in order to achieve the dreams they have. I have learned with them - realizing how much easier people's lives would be if they could just believe in themselves and have a strong support system.

I am also the Founder & CEO of 2 online companies: Together We Can Change the World and My Power Mall. Both companies were created to impact the world and also generate funding for non-profit organizations - empowering them to fulfill their mission without constantly worrying about money. Someone Believes in You is an extension of our vision to impact the world.

I have learned that a single moment of Epiphany will not create lasting change. It is the daily impact, the daily lessons, and the daily applications that change patterns and habits in order to achieve your goal. When I dreamed of creating Someone Believes in You, I knew it had to have a daily impact - hence the 365 emails delivered daily for a year.

When I first created Someone Believes in You, I wanted to be anonymous - not wanting it to be about me. Many voices convinced me that people would want to know the person behind the emails. I am human. I fail. I laugh. I cry. I simply want to make a difference.

My joy comes from knowing lives will be changed.

Thank you for joining me in my mission.

More about her... "I grew up in a family of people-helping-people and it has been a way of life for me. My kindergarten teacher referred to me as a 'mother hen' because I was always trying to help my classmates. As a teen, I was pulled into all different kinds of situations to help others.

Throughout my adult years (starting at age 18 and for over 36 years) I taught and worked with youngsters from preschool through college aged young adults. I've written curriculum, plays and skits, created learning situations and environments, and taken young people on local and international mission trips.

If I had to pick a favorite age, it would be adolescent middle schoolers. These young people are at such a crucial point in life, and their creativity, wonder, inhibitions, and experimentation are still unspoiled and at their peak. There is never a dull moment!

Even while I was working with young people, I was responsible for adult learning as well. I found it exceedingly fulfilling to help others look beyond themselves and in the process discover the beauty that dwells within. I have always tried to move people beyond what they consider their limitations with encouragement and empowerment to reveal their unique strengths and purpose.

It is a true honor to be able to share stories and inspiration with you through Someone Believes In You! I sincerely hope our writings will help you grow and move beyond where you are now, into deeper and richer experiences of life."

Susan Karlsson

Susan (Suess) Karlsson is a professional writer, speaker and photographer. She is also the owner of Reflections Studio.

Suess Karlsson

More about her... "For Someone Believes In You, I desire to communicate hope, acceptance, steadfastness and encouragement within my writings. Having worked with people from young toddlers to graying seniors intermittently for nearly 30 years, I take great joy when I witness someone attaining fresh levels of confidence, self-esteem and courage.

Being a wife for 25 years and the mother of three older teens offers me many joyous opportunities to experience persistence and determination. Being a current cancer patient & undergoing chemotherapy, I embrace wholeheartedly this precious gift called life. Even owning pets of every sort affords me the opportunity to learn tolerance in many forms.

I come from, and now live in Texas, but through life I have traveled abroad and even lived in Canada and Sweden. I've also lived in Louisiana, North Carolina, and Montana. Many times, I have been the "new girl on the block" and so I am fascinated with people watching. Being a public speaker and aspiring photographer, I am often hidden behind my words and works so I understand the need for personal space and silence.

Described often as a 'holy mess', I am hard headed and controlling, adventurous and spontaneous. I am loyal and committed, loud and bold. I don't like waiting in line although I can do it when I have to. I like old people but not acting old. I love the ocean and the rhythm of the ocean...the colors of the water mixed with the constant change of the beach sand relaxes and soothes me.I think life is a grand expedition and we are all its team members. I need you and you need me. As I get involved in the process of aging, more and more I hang on to the present moments....not focusing often on the uncertainty of what lies ahead and spend even fewer moments looking back in regret. I want you to know that no matter where in life we find ourselves, no matter what comes our way, there is always relentless hope for this life. We have so many wonderful days ahead of us!! Mostly though, I am simply delighted to be writing for you."

"Being a former foster child myself, the idea of being a part of something that would help kids that are where I was immediately appealed to me. While in foster care, I would lend a listening ear to the other children around me. I know how it feels to be in that situation and I know what having someone believe in you would do for a child. I have always cared very deeply for people, but my experiences in the foster care system left a very special place in my heart for children. I want everyone to know that someone believes in them and to use that knowledge to grow within themselves.

I am described by many people as a helpful person and a problem solver. I love helping people in any way that I can. I've given advice to thousands of people online and have been a website moderator.

I have been married since October 2006 to a wonderful man named Carlos. We have learned a lot since being together and we have the same feelings and ideas on helping people. Carlos says that I am someone to learn from and that I am able to make a difference in people's lives when they meet me. He says he is a perfect example of this!

I have several interests which are books, cooking, and of course working with Ginny to help change the world. My favorite author is Stephen King. Carlos taught me to cook and I have loved it ever since. I would like to help raise money for charities and do mission trips to help the world in other ways. I have lots of energy and I'm always looking for other ways to change the world and help people every day. As the Director of Customer Service I look forward to helping you with your questions and concerns!"

Barb Pollard

In addition to being the Co-Founder of Together We Can Change The World, Inc., Barb is the SBIY Director of Productions – committed to making sure that every certificate that leaves our office and ends up in the hands of someone who needs the Gift of Confidence is done with excellence – but more importantly, done with love!

Barb Pollard

More about her… "I am thrilled to be a part of Someone Believes In You. Many years of working as a Substance Abuse Counselor taught me that having someone believe in them can make such a huge difference for people. People need to know they matter. They need to know someone believes they can live a great life full of purpose and passion. To me, that’s what Someone Believes In You is all about!

When I’m not working you can find me cruising around on my motorcycle, doing karate, or playing with my wonderful dog. I have learned to savor the precious moments that shine in every day – if we are just able to see them. I strive to live each day in the Present – learning from the past, and keeping an eye on the future – but savoring every moment that is NOW.

When I am sending certificates to the special people you have chosen to give the Gift of Confidence to, please know I am creating them with love and filling them with as much positive energy as I can before I send them on their way!"

Owen Ott

Owen Ott wears so many hats within Together We Can Change The World, Inc. There is not a single website or system that runs this vast company that does not have his stamp on it!

Owen Ott

More about him… "Looking back on my past, I can’t say I had much room to complain. During high school, I worked part-time at a church camp. Almost immediately after graduating high school, I joined the Marine Corps and retired after 20 years of service. In both jobs, I’ve seen my share of people in need; in one form or fashion of another. I thought I was one of those people; living from payday to payday and not knowing where the next 50 cents was going to come from. I didn’t know how to help myself, let alone those I came in contact with.

Now, as the Systems Administrator for Together We can Change the World and Someone Believes in You, I can see how that is possible. I’m proud to be part of a company that can and DOES make a difference.

When I upload these stories to our servers, I know that there is at least one more story that may touch someone’s heart in a special way. It may not be this story that touches you, but maybe tomorrow’s, or the following week’s story. I just know every story going out has the ability to change a person’s life. What a great feeling!"
